This highly collectable Masonic orb pendant opens to reveal six expertly hand engraved equally sized pyramids that open out to form a cross. The guilded silver core is encased in a 9 carat yellow shell and is stamped with patent number AT12639 and 1/20 REGD. When the ball is closed and locked in position with the arms the orb represents a ballot ball used during Masonic voting. Each of the six pyramids have four masonic symbols hand engraved. The age of this particular orb is not known but it looks to be an older piece possibly early 1900s. Overall, the condition is good, just a little marking to some of the guilded pyramids. A very interesting Masonic orb showcasing fantastic workmanship from a bygone era.
