Ex estate with previous owner confirming that in a specialist's opinion it's an oil on copper portrait of the early 1700s period, which fits in perfectly with the Kings death in 1702. The artist is unknown but was possibly done by a Dutch immigrant working in England, again the opinion of the specialist. Overall the frame measures 11.7cms high x 9.5cms wide, the portrait measures 7.7cms x 5.8cms. The portrait does have a loss to the bottom, see photo’s. The wooden frame, while being crude in appearance in still intact.
