Vintage and very rare 1970s Omega "The Grand" Automatic Seamaster 1000m Steel Mens Watch. The service blue dial with luminous batons, outer seconds tracking, date at 3 and matching original hands is signed Omega Automatic Seamaster 1000m/3300ft Professional Swiss Made.  The 1012 cal automatic wind movement is working well and running strong, just serviced by us, 38 million serial number. The stainless steel 44mm one piece case with original B2 43mm rotating black bezel is in original condition, fully signed in the back omega watch co fab. Suisse Swiss made Acier Inoxydable 166.093. Dont miss this one complete with omega shark mesh bracelet 1247/237 that fits a wrist of 200mm or less. Complete with extract from the archives, production date Dec 3 1976, Delivered to Australia.
The Seamaster 1000 is the most waterproof watch ever made by Omega and even when tested at depths considerably deeper than it’s rating it’s water resistance never failed.

Purportedly Prince Rainier III of Monaco commissioned Omega to produce 50 watches other than the common 166.075 Seamaster 600 to give as honoraria gifts to the friends of the Monaco Oceanographic Research Institute and Museum. The watch that was selected for the commission was the 166.093 Seamaster 1000.
