The only other example I could find was in an Auction sale in March 2013 with an estimate of 300 EUR. It was virtually identical with the maker being R Mellin. Very long, 47cms, the handle is wooden, possibly Ebony, the scoop is quite large 11.3cms in diameter. The handle has a set of 4 hallmarks that are very difficult to read, but I can make out the date mark of G2 for 1840. The wooden handle has a crack as per photo & where the scoop meets the handle are slits that appear to be old repairs.
