The silverplate John Dixon & Sons, UK trophy was awarded to John Amos Hunt, Ipswich Grammar School Best Allround Athlete 5.12.19 John Amos Hunt was a talented athlete, who played Rugby League for Queensland & Australia during the 1920’s. He was known in later years as the “Wally Lewis of 1924” Please see the article below that was published by the Courier Mail after his death in the 1980’s. (Article is info only, not sold with trophy) The trophy is quite large & measures 35cms high, handle to handle 24cms, base 11.7cms in diameter. NOTE: The base is warped, so the trophy sits at a slight angle, could be straightened by a silversmith. A great collectable.
