Beautiful Sterling Silver Birks Lilly Pad Formed Dish 164g

Stunning sterling silver dish in the form of a floating lily pad with raised naturalistic style, scalloped edges. The stem of the lily pad curves upwards and forms a graceful handle to the dish. The dish is stamped to the underside with Birks and sterling. Henry Birks opened a small jewellery shop in 1879 in Montreal, by 1879 Birks entered partnership with his three sons and created the brand Birks and Sons. They went on to become one of Canada's most prolific silver producers. The lily pad dish could be used as a decorative table accessory or as a bon bon dish. It could even be used for votive candles on the table. A truly beautiful piece of silverware to add to your collection.
