RARE 1883 Railway Lithograph Print. Pullman Sleeping Carriage #2

HNCO are pleased to announce that we have just obtained an extensive collection of 1883 Engineering Drawing Lithographs relating to Henry Coathupe Mais's 1883 World Tour "Report on Observations on Railways During a Tour in 1883" The drawings are not only Railway related, they also include Lifts / Elevators, Bridges etc etc. They are 100% genuine and are not reproductions. The drawings originally accompanied an extensive report compiled by Mais after his tour.

Henry Coathupe Mais (1827 - 1916) MInstCE, MIMechE, MVIE, MASCE, was the Engineer-in-Chief, Public Works, South Australia from 1867 to 1887. Under his direction most of the South Australian Government Railways and many narrow gauge mineral railways were constructed.

This is a folding bookplate, No. 2 dated 24/12/1883 & printed by the South Australian Gov. Printer. It is entitled Pullman Sleeping Carriage When unfolded it measures 49cms x 32cms. Some foxing, fold lines as per photos, some small tears to the edges. Looks better than the photos depict. It will be posted folded with added protection.

Local Brisbane pick-up welcomed. Always happy to combine postage where possible & practical. HNCO are not responsible for import duties or customs charges. This is the buyers / importers responsibility.
