Rare c1915 QLD Political Large Badge. T J Ryan, Labor Champion



Ryan was elected to the Queensland Legislative Assembly in 1909, and became leader of the Labor Party in 1912. He led the party to victory at the 1915 state election, the first time it had secured majority government in Queensland.
