Vintage 1932 Leica II Black Rangefinder Camera 81709 & Hektor f2.5/5cm lens

Vintage 1932 Leica II Black Rangefinder Camera 81709 & Hektor f2.5/5cm lens. The cosmetics are very good. Please see pictures its nice! Has been well care for in its day then put away, very little paint loss. The shutter is operating but curtain sticking at end on slow speeds will need a clean/service due to age. The lens glass is nice, a few scratches to front. The aperture blades look clean for the age. but do not open or close, needs a service. Leather case is broken at base.

The Leica II was introduced in February 1932 and produced with black painted camera body in combination with nickel-plated control elements until 1939. The silver chromed version was produced from 1933 to 1948.
The Leica II was the first model with built-in rangefinder. The camera body has undergone numerous changes during the production period and late Leica II models are equipped with the top cap of the Leica III. In some cases, Leica II cameras are equipped with strap lugs and additional modifications.
Very late Leica II cameras are built on Leica III chassis and show, among other things, top cap details, which were not yet available at the introduction of the model.
