Vintage "B.V.T. Depose" Small Trench Watch Shrapnel Guard Dial Protector.

The outer rim is stamped B.V.T. Depose So more than likely French or Swiss in origin. Unsure if WW1 or WW2 era. The dome measures approx 28mm in diameter, the lugs have an inner width of 11mm, lug to lug approx 41mm. Surface wear, toning, pitting, slightly out of shape.
