Beautiful Sterling Silver & Finely Carved Carved Agate Cameo Pendant Brooch 13.8g

This beautiful vintage agate cameo is set in sterling silver and is an exceptional jewellery piece. The cameo itself is so intricately carved, making full use of the natural layers within the agate. The carver is highly skilful and has created a spectacularly well carved portrait in a figurative style. The beautiful lady is a warm light peach colour against the carnelian tones of the background. She has flowing hair and roses in her hair with bunches of flowers on her shoulders. The setting has a fine twisted wire detail all around the cameo, which frames the portrait perfectly.

Despite its vintage this stunning piece is in fantastic condition with a very highly polished surface to the silver. The cameo brooch is not hallmarked but laser tested as sterling silver. This very impressive cameo would be a fabulous addition to any collection.
