Beautifully Carved Antique 9ct Gold & Freshwater Pearl Cameo Necklace 12.8g

This beautiful, antique cameo necklace features a beautifully carved agate cameo with the beautiful lady facing to the left. The 9 carat yellow gold setting is surrounded by a halo of freshwater pearls. Unfortunately, two of the tiny pearls are missing but could be easily replaced by a jeweller and the necklace is still really pretty. The agate base is a lovely taupe colour with the lady picked out in white. The necklace has two clasps in effect with a bolt clasp and a push clasp closure, so the necklace can be fasten easily around the front. Although not hallmarked the necklace was laser tested as 9 carat yellow gold. This is an early made cameo and would be a great piece to add to your cameo collection. The carving is very beautiful.
