Egyptian Revival Sterling Silver Enamel & Chrysoprase Scarab Bracelet 8cm 42.1g

This fabulous Art Deco 'Egyptian Revival' bracelet from around the 1930's is a spectacular vintage piece. Following on from the fascinating discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922; where an abundant treasure trove of untouched riches, from the ancient world were discovered, an Egyptian-inspired aesthetic took the world by storm. This stunning bracelet is a wonderful example, combining wonderful art deco geometry with classic Egyptian motifs. Most likely European made, this quality sterling silver bracelet is decorated with plaque-a-jour enamel, picked out in blues and greens. There are an array of sparkling marcasites adorning the edges of the motifs. The central panel features a carved green chrysoprase scarab.

The fine detail is quite exquisite and the chain between each panel allows for flexibility and comfort on the wrist. A box clasp securely fastens the bracelet with an added safety catch. The silver mark is to the reverse of the clasp, the bracelet is in good condition with just a few small marcasites missing. These highly collectable pieces do not pop up for sale too often. This wonderful example will be sure to delight any collector of fine Egyptian Revival, vintage jewellery.
