Georgian 10ct Rose Gold Miniature Painted Portrait Mourning Brooch/Pendant 30g

Beautiful, Georgian 10 carat rose gold framed miniature portrait of a lady. The hand painted portrait depicts a lady from the late 1780's - 1800's. The pendant is mourning jewellery and a lock of plaited hair is held in place to the rear of the pendant. The portrait is delicate and ethereal, the ladies face is both beautiful and mournful. The lady has ringlets in her hair and is wearing a Georgian style dress with a delicate ruffle accent. She is also wearing a pretty diamond earring and necklace set, accentuating her graceful looks. Unfortunately, there is no way to know who she was or the portrait artist.

There are no hallmarks or stamps but the case tests as 10 carat rose gold. The piece can be worn as pendant or brooch. The inside of the portrait has a few spots of discolouration and dust particles and the hair insert is a little loose. Otherwise, the pendant is good antique condition.
