Robert & Bernice Leekya Native American Sterling Silver Turquoise Bolo Tie 31.7g

A rare piece by esteemed Zuni silversmiths and husband and wife team Robert and Bernice Leekya. The stunning handmade bolo tie features three stunning turquoise nugget stones. Robert and Bernice frequently used Kingsman Turquoise in their designs. This particular piece is a vintage design from around circa 1960's. The silver frame is beautifully made and carries all the usual qualities of the fine craftsmanship the couple are known for. Stamped to the underside with Robert and Bernice's RLB stamp. The bolo tie presents really well, with original patina to the silver. It could be polished up but has been left as is, to allow the new owner to decide. With the passing of Robert in 2019, a great legacy has been left to the world, in the form of their lifelong jewellery journey together. This stunning example of their work is ready to find a new custodian to enjoy and keep their special story going.
