Description

John Everard, born Edward Forward, was a First World War veteran and former tea planter, who became a British press and studio photographer. He was a noted photographer of nudes from the late 1920s until the early 1960s. His early photographic work on nudity is very much sought after these days by collectors & is held by various institutions around the world.

This multi plate colour offset process print (Photo Engraving) was originally printed by John Swain & Son Ltd, London in c1936 under the supervision of John Everard from the original photograph / negative. It was believed to be the first nude colour folio ever printed en masse. All the models were tastefully photographed.

It is 100% genuine Art Deco & NOT a reproduction.

It measures (Including the 5mm border) 24cm x 16cm & is superb near mint condition with very minor handling marks, there is a small blank 5mm outer border surrounding the print. The rear is blank.
