Vintage 18k Gold Opal & 0.96ct Diamond Cocktail Ring Size M Val $15430

A striking and beautifully elaborate vintage Opal and Diamond dress ring, Crafted in 18 carat yellow gold and designed in a bold raised cluster form. At the centre sits a large oval cabochon solid crystal opal measuring approximately 18.0mm x 13.3mm, displaying a soft to moderate play-of-colour with attractive flashes of orange, green and blue through a translucent body tone.


The central opal is framed by a halo of twenty-six micro claw set diamonds, with a further six claw set diamonds spaced around the outer border, adding brilliance and contrast to the organic floral and foliate design. The ring is further highlighted by six marquise-shaped cabochon opals, each measuring approximately 8.0mm x 4.0mm, all showing similar lively colour play.


The setting is finely detailed with textured leaf-form elements, an open gallery, and a triple round wire split band, giving the piece a dramatic and sculptural appearance. A superb statement ring with strong mid century character and exceptional presence on the hand. Measures 32mm long x 30mm wide.
