An impressive vintage Longines gentleman's pocket watch dating to 1912, housed in a substantial 14 carat gold hunter style case and powered by the beautifully finished Longines calibre 19.70 manual wind movement.
Measuring approximately 54mm across and weighing an impressive 112.7 grams in total, this is a substantial example of Longines' traditional Swiss pocket watch production.
The white dial presents beautifully with elegant stylised Arabic numerals, fine minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock and slender period hands. The classic Longines script signature is positioned beneath 12 o'clock.
Opening the rear cover reveals an attractive inner cuvette decorated with the Longines name and a series of Grand Prix medals, including references to Paris, Anvers, Milan and Bruxelles.
The movement is signed LONGINES and numbered 2808142, featuring traditional bridge construction, jewelled, fine snail regulations and finely finished surfaces.
