A Gentlemans vintage c1958 Patek Philippe 18K Gold 18J Mens cal 27SC Wrist Watch Ref 570, sold new in March 1961. The stunning vertical satin finished silver dial with applied gold lapped hour markers and beaded minute circle markers, centre seconds with matching hands is signed Patek Philippe geneve swiss. The Cal. 27sc, stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium-plated, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions is working well, losing 6 seconds a day dial up, amp 304. fully signed Patek Philippe and numbered. The 18k gold 35.5mm case, is in super nice condition back snaps shut tight, fully signed in back Patek Philippe Co Geneve swiss with 18k gold hallmark, numbered 311*** 570, Complete with used patek leather strap and 18k gold buckle plus an extract from the archives.
Scarce and they dont come on to the market very often in this condition. Featuring an upsized 35.5mm case from the petite 31mm Ref. 96, the Ref. 570 was very successful for Patek Philippe. Produced between 1938 and 1972, around 2,000 units were made in various forms, including steel, yellow, rose, white gold, and the rarest, platinum.
