Vintage European 835 Silver Marcasite & Enamel Tulip Brooch 9.6g

This striking, vintage 835 silver sweet tulip brooch features lemon and green enamel with a row of sparking marcasites tying the stems together. The enamel work is mainly intact with just a little minor loss in sections including the tip of one of the leaves. Stamped 835 to the rear of the stalk and MP4 on the pin wire. These brooches were frequently made in Germany and it is more than likely this particular example is German in origin. Apart from the enamel loss the brooch is in great condition.
