WWII 1941 Hamilton GCT 22j 16s 4992B Military Army 24H Navigation Pocket Watch

A superb original Hamilton G.C.T. Grade 4992B military navigation pocket watch manufactured during the Second World War. Built by the Hamilton Watch Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, these precision instruments were supplied to the U.S. Army Air Forces for aircraft navigation, where absolute accuracy was critical to long range bombing and reconnaissance missions.

This example retains its original black 24 hour G.C.T. dial with centre sweep seconds and military engraved case. It is powered by the original Hamilton Grade 4992B 22 jewel movement, serial number 4C8651, dating to approximately 1941. These watches were developed from Hamilton's legendary railroad chronometer movements and were among the finest military navigation watches produced during the war.

The watch has just been professionally serviced, including the fitting of a genuine New Old Stock balance staff. It is running strongly and keeping excellent time, ready to be enjoyed or added to an advanced military or Hamilton collection.
