Ancient Pyu Burma Earthenware Pot / Vessel, c. 5th-9th Century 9.4cm High
Small ancient earthenware vessel attributed to the Pyu culture of Burma / Myanmar, dating approximately to the 5th-9th century CE. The vessel is of hand-formed rounded globular shape with a short neck and small pierced aperture near the rim. The underside is softly rounded and unglazed, showing natural clay texture, age-related mineral deposits, dark staining, surface pitting and weathered patina throughout.
A charming early Burmese ceramic object, likely used as a small storage, offering or ritual vessel.

Material: Low-fired earthenware / terracotta
Condition: Ancient wear, encrustation, dark mineral staining, pitting, firing flaws and surface losses consistent with age.
