Description
An antique Siamese silver Pod Duang, commonly known as Thai bullet money, of rounded hand-formed shape and struck with traditional official punches. The piece bears a clear mark together with a secondary authority/reign mark. Pod Duang silver currency was used in Siam for centuries prior to the introduction of modern flat coinage, with the Baht originally functioning as both a currency unit and silver weight standard. 14.8mm across.
