On offer is a large English bookplate engraving by William Hogarth from the Industry & Idleness series, taken / printed off the original 1700s plates. This was the last series produced from the original plates in 1822 by Heath. Paper size is 45cms x 33cms. Recently professionally restored but still shows traces of stains to the left margin. The rear is blank.

The engraving is entitled   THE IDLE ‘PRENTICE EXECUTED AT TYBURN   It is Plate 11 in the series.
