Rare Antique Longines Doctors Chronograph 18K Gold Hunter Pocket Watch
A superb antique Longines doctor's chronograph pocket watch, housed in a large 18K yellow gold 54mm full hunter case and weighing an impressive 103.2 grams.
The crisp white porcelain dial features bold black Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 9, minute register at 3, outer minute tracking in black, and the desirable red "Gradué Pour 30 Pulsations" medical scale, designed for timing a patient's pulse. Finished with elegant blued steel hands and signed Longines.
Powered by a cal 19.73N manual stem-wind chronograph movement, working well, gains 11 seconds a day amp 280.
The 18K gold double snap-back hunter case remains in original condition. Fully signed P & D, numbered, and hallmarked 18K gold.
The 18k gold case is stamped P & D, the mark of PĂ©russet & Didisheim SA, Longines' Argentine agent/retailer, best known for supplying Longines watches to the South American market in the early 20th century.
