Description
René Lalique Baies Vase No.894 Black Enamel Frosted Glass c1924 Signed
A beautiful and highly sought-after original René Lalique "Baies" vase, one of Lalique's most iconic Art Deco designs. The spherical body is decorated with flowing vine branches and clusters of berries, highlighted with the original black enamel against a satin frosted glass ground. The combination of sculptural relief and contrasting enamel perfectly showcases Lalique's mastery of glassmaking during the Art Deco period.
This example retains its original frosted finish and black enamel decoration. It is signed with both the moulded R. Lalique France mark and the engraved R. Lalique signature on the base, a feature collectors often refer to as a "double-signed" example.
The Baies vase remains one of René Lalique's most recognised creations and is highly regarded by collectors worldwide for its bold decorative design and timeless elegance.
