Description
René Lalique Méduse Vase No.950 Frosted Glass c1921 Signed R. Lalique France
René Lalique "Méduse" Vase No. 950, an iconic Art Deco design first introduced in 1921. This elegant frosted glass vase features the distinctive stylised octopus tentacle motif wrapped around the body, one of Lalique's most recognisable early decorative designs.
The vase is signed "R. Lalique" engraved to the underside, confirming production during René Lalique's lifetime. The soft satin finish highlights the detailed relief work beautifully and makes it an excellent display piece for collectors of French Art Deco glass.
Condition is very good overall. The frosted finish remains attractive with only light age-related wear from careful use. There are a few small dark inclusions/surface marks visible in the frosting, as shown in the photographs, but no obvious chips or cracks are visible from the images provided.
