René Lalique "Méduse" Vase No. 950 Red Crystal Glass 17.5cm Signed France
A beautiful Lalique "Méduse" vase, Model No. 950, originally designed by René Lalique in 1921. One of Lalique's most iconic marine-inspired creations, the vase is moulded with elegant flowing jellyfish tentacles that rise from the base and curl beneath the flared rim, creating a striking Art Deco design inspired by the movement of the sea. The Méduse model was introduced in 1921 and remains one of Lalique's most recognisable vase designs.
Executed in rich ruby red crystal with satin frosted relief against a polished ground, the vase displays exceptional depth of colour and beautifully captures the light. The underside bears the engraved "Lalique" signature.
