An original René Lalique "Mimosa" vase, Model No. 953, designed in 1921 during the height of the Art Deco movement. This elegant design is inspired by the delicate branches of the mimosa tree, with finely moulded trailing foliage flowing vertically around the body, creating a beautifully balanced and organic appearance. The narrow ribbed neck complements the rounded form, showcasing Lalique's mastery of naturalistic design and exceptional glassmaking.
This example is finished in frosted glass with a warm sepia brown patina that highlights the intricate relief decoration, giving the vase excellent depth and contrast.
