René Lalique "Koudour" Vase No. 968 - Clear Glass with Black Enamel - Signed R. Lalique - c.1926
An original René Lalique "Koudour" vase, model No. 968, designed in 1926. One of Lalique's most distinctive Art Deco designs, the vase features a broad geometric zig-zag frieze hand-finished in black enamel around the shoulder, contrasting beautifully against the clear moulded glass body. The design reflects the bold geometric styling of the Art Deco period and remains one of René Lalique's most sought-after enamelled creations.
This example is moulded in clear glass and retains its original black enamel decoration. It is signed "R. LALIQUE" moulded into the underside, confirming production during René Lalique's lifetime.
Condition
Presented in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The black enamel decoration is well preserved with only light, age-related wear. Minor shelf wear to the underside consistent with careful cabinet display over the years.
A superb opportunity to acquire one of René Lalique's most iconic early Art Nouveau vase designs in a highly desirable colour.
