René Lalique "Bagatelle" Vase No. 10936, designed in 1939. This beautiful Art Deco vase is executed in blue-grey patinated glass and features an intricate relief design of birds nestled amongst dense foliage, one of Lalique's most elegant late-period naturalistic designs.
The vase is signed "R. Lalique France" to the underside. The blue-grey patina highlights the finely moulded birds and leaves, creating excellent depth and contrast throughout the piece.
The vase is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or evidence of restoration. There are light surface scratches to the polished underside consistent with age and cabinet display, while the body remains crisp with strong mould definition.
A highly collectible original René Lalique design from 1939, perfect for collectors of Art Deco glass and French decorative arts.
