René Lalique "Dahlias" Vase No. 938 Grey Patinated Frosted Glass c.1923
A beautiful René Lalique "Dahlias" vase, Model No. 938, designed in 1923. One of Lalique's classic floral Art Deco creations, the vase features large, finely moulded dahlia blossoms with delicately veined petals surrounding richly textured flower centres. The elegant low, rounded form highlights the sculptural decoration from every angle.
This example is executed in grey patinated frosted glass, with the darker patination accentuating the flower centres and contrasting beautifully against the satin-finished petals. The combination of intricate moulding and subtle colour gives the vase exceptional depth and presence.
