René Lalique Le Mans Vase No.1074 Celadon Green c1931 Signed R. Lalique
An exceptional original René Lalique "Le Mans" vase, model No. 1074, first introduced in 1931. This sought-after Art Deco design showcases Lalique's mastery of sculptural glass, featuring a continuous relief of stylised maize (corn) plants with beautifully detailed leaves, cobs and flowing geometric motifs that wrap around the rounded body of the vase. The wide flared rim and harmonious proportions make it one of Lalique's most striking botanical designs from the early 1930s.
This example is produced in an extremely desirable and scarce celadon green glass with an attractive aged grey patina, enhancing the depth of the moulded decoration and highlighting the intricate details. The combination of the rare colour and natural patination gives the vase exceptional visual appeal and makes it highly desirable to serious René Lalique collectors.
The base is wheel-engraved and signed "R. Lalique France", confirming its authenticity as an original period piece.
