René Lalique Quatre Groupes de Lézards Vase No. 898 c1912 Frosted Sepia Glass Signed

René Lalique "Quatre Groupes de Lézards" Vase, Model No. 898, designed in 1912. An elegant and highly sought-after Art Nouveau design featuring four vertical groups of intertwined lizards in relief, executed in frosted glass with a soft sepia-pink patina.

This pre-war example is mould-blown glass with excellent mould definition and retains its original satin finish. The vase measures approximately 32 cm high and is engraved "R. Lalique France" to the underside (please refer to photos). Model 898 was introduced in 1912, appeared in the 1928 catalogue, was discontinued in 1932 and was never reintroduced after 1947, making it a scarce René Lalique design.

Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs noted. The frosted finish and sepia patina remain well preserved, and the relief decoration is crisp throughout.

A beautiful and increasingly difficult-to-find René Lalique vase, ideal for collectors of Art Nouveau and early French art glass.
