René Lalique "Druide" (Gui de Chêne) Vase No. 937 Jade Green Glass c.1924

An exceptional René Lalique "Druide" Double case vase, Model No. 937, also known as Gui de Chêne (Oak Mistletoe), designed on 6 May 1924. One of Lalique's most sculptural botanical designs, the vase features a perfectly rounded form intricately moulded with intertwining oak branches and clusters of mistletoe berries in high relief. It first appeared in the 1928 and 1932 catalogues before being discontinued in 1937 and was never reintroduced after 1947, making original examples highly sought after by collectors.

This outstanding example is executed in an exceptionally rare and vibrant jade green satin-finished glass. The luminous green colour beautifully highlights the contrast between the frosted body and polished raised berry clusters, creating a striking visual effect that changes dramatically under different lighting conditions. Jade green examples are among the most desirable colour variations of the Druide model and are seldom offered for sale.

Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration. The moulding is crisp throughout with only light wear to the underside consistent with age. The original moulded "R. Lalique France" signature is present to the base.
