Description
René Lalique "Lotus" Vase No. 945 Blue Frosted Glass c1920
An elegant René Lalique "Lotus" vase, Model No. 945, designed in 1920. Inspired by the graceful form of the lotus flower, the vase features a tall, tapering body rising to a dramatic square flared rim. The exterior is beautifully moulded with elongated lotus leaves, each finely detailed with delicate vertical ribbing that flows seamlessly from the base to the rim, creating a striking sense of movement and symmetry.
Executed in Lalique's beautiful blue frosted glass, the satin finish enhances the sculptural quality of the design while allowing light to softly illuminate the crisp moulded decoration. The broad square opening contrasts perfectly with the slender body, making the vase one of Lalique's most refined early Art Deco floral designs.
