Description
René Lalique "Ormeaux" Vase No. 984 Opalescent Glass c1926 Art Deco France
An elegant René Lalique "Ormeaux" vase, one of the classic botanical designs from Lalique's mature Art Deco period. The vase features a rounded globular body with a gently flared neck, beautifully moulded with overlapping elm leaves ("Ormeaux" is French for elm trees) that wrap around the entire body. Executed in opalescent glass, the frosted leaves contrast beautifully with the polished highlights, creating the soft glow for which Lalique is renowned.
