Description
René Lalique "Ormeaux" Vase No. 984 Grey Blue Patinated Glass c1926
René Lalique "Ormeaux" vase, Model No. 984, an elegant Art Deco design featuring overlapping elm leaf motifs in high relief across a rounded body with a gently flared neck. The beautifully moulded decoration showcases Lalique's mastery of sculptural form, with the soft grey-blue patinated finish highlighting the contrast between the frosted and polished surfaces.
This example is signed "R. Lalique France" to the underside and displays the desirable original grey/blue patina. The crisp moulding and subtle colouring make it a striking display piece from one of the twentieth century's most celebrated glassmakers.
Condition is very good overall. No obvious chips, cracks or restoration are visible from the photographs provided. There is light wear to the underside consistent with age and cabinet display. Please inspect all photos carefully as they form part of the description.
