Description
René Lalique Tournesols Vase No. 1007 1927 R. Lalique France
René Lalique "Tournesols" vase, Model No. 1007, designed in 1927. One of René Lalique's most distinctive late Art Deco sunflower designs, the spherical body is decorated with boldly moulded sunflower heads in opalescent, creating a striking sculptural effect.
This example is signed R. Lalique France to the underside and is finished in the classic clear and frosted glass. The moulding is crisp with excellent detail throughout, and the vase displays beautifully.
The vase presents in very good vintage condition. No obvious chips or cracks are visible from our inspection, although buyers should examine the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
A highly sought-after René Lalique design and an excellent addition to any serious Art Deco or French glass collection.
The vase measures 11.5cm tall & 10.5cm wide approx.
Provenance From an important single owner collection of René Lalique glass. Part of Harrington & Co's "Once in a Lifetime René Lalique Collection of 97 pieces".
