A magnificent and highly sought-after René Lalique "Moissac" bowl, Model No. 992, designed in 1927. One of Lalique's most iconic Art Deco botanical creations, the Moissac design is distinguished by its sculptural arrangement of deeply moulded overlapping leaves, beautifully finished with Lalique's signature satin frosting and polished highlights that create a stunning play of light.
This exceptional example is executed in amber/yellow moulded glass, a particularly attractive and less commonly encountered colour. Condition
Excellent vintage condition, No chips, cracks or repairs, although does have a mold line during the fusing of this vase however doesnt extend through to the base. Light wear to the underside consistent with age and careful cabinet display.
Displays beautifully with excellent clarity and original satin finish.
