An exceptional original René Lalique "Poivre" Vase, Model No. 901, one of Lalique's most elegant and distinctive Art Deco botanical designs.
Designed in 1921, the Poivre (Pepper) vase features beautifully sculpted cascading clusters of peppercorns or berries suspended from delicate vines around the body. The contrast between the polished clear glass and the softly frosted relief creates remarkable depth and showcases René Lalique's mastery of moulded glass design.
Executed in smoky grey (fumé) frosted moulded glass, this sought-after model first appeared in the 1928 and 1932 Lalique catalogues before being discontinued in 1937 and never reintroduced after 1947, making original examples highly desirable among collectors.

Condition
