Description
René Lalique "Rennes" Vase No. 10875 Clear & Soft Green Frosted Glass c1933
An exceptional René Lalique "Rennes" vase, Model No. 10875, designed in 1933. The design features a broad flared bowl decorated with a continuous band of stylised rams, their tightly curled horns forming striking spiral motifs around the body. The crisp moulding and contrasting polished and satin-frosted finish create a wonderful interplay of light, making this one of Lalique's distinctive late Art Deco animal designs.
Executed in clear glass with a subtle green-tinted frosted patina, the vase displays excellent mould definition and is signed "R. Lalique France" to the underside.
