Description
René Lalique "Bellis" Vase No. 1097 Opalescent Blue Glass c.1926
An elegant René Lalique "Bellis" vase, Model No. 1097, designed in 1926. The design features a tall, flared form with finely moulded vertical ribbing accented by rows of stylised Bellis (daisy) flower buds, a beautiful botanical motif that perfectly captures Lalique's Art Deco aesthetic.
This example is executed in highly sought-after opalescent blue glass, displaying a luminous milky blue tone that changes beautifully with different lighting conditions. The satin finish to the body contrasts with polished highlights, showcasing Lalique's mastery of texture and light.
The vase measures approximately 15cm high and is signed "R. Lalique France" to the underside.
