René Lalique "Bordure Bluets" Vase No. 907 Blue Patina c.1913

An exceptional René Lalique "Bordure Bluets" vase, Model No. 907, designed in 1913. This elegant early design features a gently tapering cylindrical form decorated with intertwining stems of cornflowers (bluets), while the broad collar is beautifully moulded with a continuous border of stylised blossoms. The flowing botanical motif is characteristic of Lalique's transition from the Art Nouveau period into his early decorative glass production.

Executed in clear glass, blue patina with polished and satin finished details, the vase displays excellent mould definition and a striking play of light across the floral decoration. The restrained colour and refined form make it one of Lalique's most elegant early vase designs.
